Insurance and Compensation Law
In disputes arising from insurance contracts and from damaging events we advise and represent clients by assessing the scope of the policy, the legal basis of liability and the nature of the loss together. Cover, exclusions and notice conditions are examined in detail when the legal framework of applications and claims is set; the relationship between the policy terms and the course of the event is the basis of the file assessment.
In compensation files we work carefully on identifying heads of loss and on the documents that support them, and we advise from applications to insurers through arbitration and litigation. Allegations and objections as to fault, causation and expert reports are prepared on the evidence of the file; payment offers and settlement and release documents are assessed in detail as to the losses covered and the client’s continuing rights.
