Consumer Law

Distance selling, defective goods and consumer disputes for consumers and businesses.

Consumer Law

In consumer transactions arising from the supply of goods and services we advise and represent clients by assessing consumers’ rights and claims together with businesses’ duties as to sale, information and after-sales service. Legal issues in physical and online sales, subscriptions and financial services are treated with the nature of the transaction and how it operates in practice kept in view, and the parties’ legal positions are examined within the concrete relationship.

In addition to the contract texts we examine order, delivery, return and service processes in detail so that the source of the dispute and its legal consequences can be identified. We prepare arrangements for businesses’ compliance with consumer legislation; in individual disputes we assess documents and evidence to form applications and defences, and we follow consumer-arbitration-committee, mediation and court processes according to the applicable conditions and the features of the file.
